Week Seven

Year 8
Ashley McMillan
Room 5

Ashley has a quiet and reliable manner which has earned him great respect from his peers. He has excellent self management skills, is considerate of others, comfortably takes on roles of responsibility and has great leadership skills. Ashley is a quality student with exceptional values of honesty and integrity. He is a pleasure to have as a student in Room 5.

Year 7
Joseph Te Maari
Room 21

Joseph has been demonstrating the values and attitudes of a true GisInt role model. He has become focused on his work and is achieving to a high standard as a result. Joseph is setting a great example for others to follow and has developed into an important leader in Rm 21. He participates in activities with enthusiasm and has become a valued team member in a variety of ways. Ka pai Joseph!


Week Six

Year 8
Celeste Wykes
Room 15

Personality plus is how best to describe the effervescent Celeste. Everything she does, she does with gusto and absolute enthusiasm. Her recent inclusion in the Year 8 girls rugby team is evidence of this. Every day begins with a compliment to others showing her empathetic and caring attitude. In class she displays keen perseverance and an inner drive to strive for accuracy. Celeste is the type of student that is unafraid to ask the hard questions and be undeterred until she is satisfied with the answer. It is this quality that makes her a valued member of Room 15.

Year 7
Christopher Niven
Room 20

Christopher works hard in all curriculum areas and is 100% focused inside the class and out of it. He gives everything his all and is always responsible and organised. Christopher treats everyone with respect, he is a an excellent role model for his peers and he demonstrates many old school values/manners that a lot of children today can forget. Room 20 think he is a fantastic person to have as part of the class and value his contribution and attitude on a daily basis.


Week Four

Year 8
Michael Livingston
Room 13

Michael is a ‘cool’ humble student who displays amazing self management qualities. He works hard in all areas of the curriculum and has made great progress due to his hard work. Michael was a vital cog in the recent success of the boys rugby team. He shows commitment and dedication to all aspects of school. Michael always has a positive attitude, fantastic manners and is a popular member of Rm 13 and an absolute pleasure to teach.


Year 7
Te Ahi Westrupp
Room 17

Te Ahi is a great role model. He has a ‘can do’ attitude and gives everything a good go. He is an expert self manager and a skilled team player in a range of sports. Te Ahi has a positive attitude and actively participates in all activities across the curriculum. He applies himself well in all learning areas and consistently strives for accuracy. He enjoys challenges and is always helpful, courteous and polite.


Week Three

Year 8
Abbey Brice
Room 14

Abby is a well rounded and multi-talented student who is consistently making positive contributions to her class and school community. She is a dedicated and determined student who demons t rates exemplary self management skills and always strives to achieve to a high standard. Abby is equally able in the classroom as she is on the soccer pitch, or the stage, in preparation for the school production. Abby, we salute you!


Year 7
Myah Jex-Blake
Room 10


Myah is an extremely well rounded student who achieves across all curriculum areas to a very high standard and will always go the extra mile. On the sporting front she is outstanding in hockey, touch, cross country and triathlon. Socially Myah is highly regarded and excels as an excellent role model and great leader for her peers. Add in her amazing manners and great smile, and you have a student who is simply amazing!


Week Two

Year 8
Paddy McLean-Dewes
Room 12

Paddy is enthusiastic about all areas of school life. She just loves to learn, is a well respected member of our class and seeks opportunities to go out of her comfort zone in search of new challenges. This year Paddy has represented the school in a number of sports and is in the school production. These are just a few examples of her commitment to making the most of the opportunities at Gisint. Her contribution in class is recognised by per peers and she will go out of her way to make sure everyone is in a safe and fun learning environment. An wonderful role model to have in our class.

Year 7
Janaya Te Rere
Room 11

Janaya never fails to demonstrate positive attitudes and values in everything we do in class and throughout school life. She is always conscientious and consistently on task. Janaya takes pride in her work and completes it to a high standard. She is a highly motivated role model to us all who is prepared to challenge herself and is an expert at self managing. Congratulations Janaya. “Ka mau ki te wehi”. You are a pleasure to teach and have in Rm 11.

Year 8
Hugo Robinson
Room 22


Hugo is an incredibly talented student in so many areas. He has displayed a huge improvement in maturity and desire to set high standards, continually raising the bar. He is popular amongst his peers and is a student who is not afraid to ask the hard questions in order to challenge himself, his peers and teachers. Hugo's improvement this year knows no limits. He is a proud member of the schools top cricket, soccer, ultimate frisbee and basketball teams and was runner up in the Cross Country, winner of the Y8 Boys Speech competition and features in our upcoming school production. A legend!

Year 7
Mikayla Craill
Room 24


Mikayla is an outstanding student who always puts her best foot forward and strives to do the absolute best she possibly can. She is willing to work hard in her own time to reach levels above and beyond expectations. Mikayla has a real “go get „em” attitude and makes the most of the opportunities given at Gisint. She will step outside of her comfort zone to push herself and try new things. Mikayla is kind, polite and friendly with excellent leadership skills. She is certainly a real pleasure to teach and have as part of the class.
